Copycat Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino

One of these doesn't belong ~ or does it? Starbuck style, vanilla frappuccino, mock recipe, coffee

When it comes to a delicious, ice cold coffee drink my guys reach for the most expensive: Starbucks
HA! I was so excited when my son popped into the kitchen last week to share what he found on the Internet: A mock Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino recipe ♡
Can you say, "Score!"
For 2 minutes of your time, and no waiting in line at the cafe or grocery store,
you can be a barista for your family,
and enjoy this scrumptious coffee drink while still wearing your PJ's or. . .whatever!

The original recipe called for instant Folger's coffee.
Really?
For a copycat Starbucks Frappuccino? No way!

Starbucks instant coffee comes in both regular AND decaf;
for those who are concerned about caffeine.

While on a motorcycle tour of Alaska this summer, I picked up some instant Starbucks Medium Brew Coffee. We never did use the instant on the trip so,
I pulled these little gems out of the trailer and told my son to go for it. . .
I happened to buy a four pack of the authentic Starbuck's Vanilla Frappuccino's last time I was at the grocery store so, we had the real thing to compare it to.
Neither one of us could tell the difference!!
BOOM!!
Not only are we saving going to reap the extra cash in our pockets,
but we can control "hold at bay" the calories too by using low fat milk and
lowering the amount of sugar. Starbucks makes a mocha flavor instant coffee, and an Italian Roast (which would be a stronger coffee flavor) too! Oh the possibilities. . .

This recipe will go front and center under the drink section of my recipe collection, LOL

INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp instant Starbucks coffee (regular OR decaf)
1/4 c. hot water (he used hot water right from the Kuerig)
2 Tbs. white sugar
1 1/4 c. low fat milk (he used 1%)
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Dissolve instant coffee and sugar in 1/4 c. hot water. Add the milk and vanilla. Pour the mixture into a bottle or container and shake until well combined.

Copycat Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino ~ it's wonderful delightful :)

NOTE: Toss the ingredients into a blender with a cup of crushed ice. Pour it into a glass and top it off with a squirt of whip cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce and you have a blended frappuccino ❤ I found a great web site showing all the Starbucks popular drinks and their nutritional information. Click here to pop over and compare your favorite drink recipe to this copycat, low fat, combination.

  2. OMG this was amazing! I used vanilla soy milk and I think that made it a little sweeter. Plus I froze some soy milk to use as ice cubes.
